WEAVERHAM remain rock bottom of Meller Braggins Division One, crashing to defeat after making only 60 at Knutsford on Saturday.
On a poor track, only Jamie Allen troubled the bowlers with 33, and although Lee Richardson took 2-20, Knutsford had no trouble in securing a five-wicket win.
A derby awaits Weaverham at Wallerscote Road this Saturday, where Oakmere are the visitors.
Weaverham 2nds fell to a six-wicket defeat at home to Knutsford, but their batsmen put on a much better show.
An opening stand of 91 between Emlyn Roberts (56) and Phil Harris (53) helped them to their highest score of the season of 174.
Although Kenny Roberts bowled well for his 2-40, Knutsford made 175-4. A plus point for Weaverham was the return of all-rounder Henryk Kazmiercak, playing his first game for nine years.
