NORTHWICH Rugby Club have finalised a two year sponsorship with County Commercial Stationary for the Cheshire Strongman competition.
County Commercial, now based on Winsford Industrial Estate has stepped in to support the popular event, which will be showcased at the Northwich Festival of Sport on August Bank Holiday.
So far, five competitors have confirmed entry in the gruelling six event contest, including last year's winner Paul Heyes.
The maximum number of entrants is eight, so there is still time for local strongmen to flex their muscles in the competition. Anyone interested can contact festival committee member John Nancollis on (01606) 781441.
