HARTFORD'S fifth win in six games kept up their impressive second half of the season.
They collected a clatter of early Alderley Park wickets, as Ian Allen, in his last match of the season, took 6-27 in 17 overs. He was well supported by Mick Edge (2-16) as Alderley were all out for 80.
Geoff Sharp batted throughout Hartford's reply for 33 not out, Allen closing his season with a fine 25 in the six wicket win.
Hartford 2nds went down by 59 runs at Alderley Park, who made 162-8 (Rob Stimpson 2-19; Mike Fielding 2-49; Dave Williams 2-51).
Hartford were all out for 103 (Dave Brandreth 23, Tony Sayle 20).
