HARD work has been the key to another very successful year at Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College.
There was a pass rate of 93 per cent with an average points score of 5.7 per subject.
Two students achieved five A grades: Laura Mitchell, of Moss Lane, Cuddington and Nick Braddon from Goostrey. Four others gained four grade As and one B: Vicky Barker, from Rudheath, Jessica Smith, from Weaverham, Debbie Webster, from Cuddington, and Sarah Winward, from Cuddington. Another 11 students achieved four A grades.
The college was also delighted to learn that three students were in the top five of all candidates entered for a particular subject.
They were Thomas Slater in English Language; Sarah Winward in Biology and Claire Satle in Human Biology.
Vice principal Cherith Nixon said: "These outstanding results are not achieved without a great deal of hard work.
"The students have clearly built upon the solid academic foundation provided them in their high schools."
She added: "We are particularly proud of the 100 per cent pass rate in art & design, computing, dance, electronics, French, further maths, music, performing arts, religious studies and theatre studies."
