I AM writing about the plans of the stadium and Tesco on Winwick Road plus the surrounding plans to Time Square and revamping Cockhedge Centre. I would like to ask what ever happened to the idea of another shopping mall with 10-screen cinema? Because I saw this advertised on a big poster on Winwick Street, then I heard some one say that the Borough Council was to build a cinema where Lockers is at the end of Mersey/Nolan Street.

Now my point of view is that we should not have the Tesco because due to revamping Cockhedge Centre it would be a waste of money because of competition with big superstores, Tesco would put Asda out of business. That is the disadvantage and yes the advantage would be that having Tesco would create more jobs. So I say save Asda & Cockhedge, don't build the Tesco, build a new shopping mall with cinema and still have room for the stadium.

I believe that people of Warrington want the stadium but not the Tesco, but might like the idea of another shopping mall with cinema like the Trafford Centre so that people can travel a short distance to see a film.

In fact I would like to see a public vote on that to see what the people of Warrington think.
