BULLIED

Bulls 38

Wolves 14

ALTHOUGH Warrington Wolves Academy team tried their best Bradford Bulls were too big, too strong and too fast.

Warrington took a seventh minute lead when Steve Maden followed up a clever grubber kick from Mark Gleeson.

An unconverted Bradford try on 16 minutes brought the scores level and it remained that way until 10 minutes before the break.

Suddenly, after withstanding constant Bradford pressure, Warrington's defence was breached three times to leave Bradford 20-4 ahead at half-time.

Bradford increased their lead to 26-4 before David Hughes scored on 57 minutes and Kris Tickle converted.

The Bulls crossed twice more before Wolves substitute John Whalley forced his way over for the final try.

Team: David Alstead; Ian Stephenson, Andy Barr, Steve Maden, Chris Gordon; Rob Gallagher, Kris Tickle; David Hughes, Mark Gleeson, Paul Wood, Mike Callan, Neil Helsby, Tom Kilgannon. Subs: John Whalley, Paul Alcock, David Fernley, Mike Graham.

Warrington's next game is at the JJB Stadium on Sunday, kick-off 3.45pm, against Wigan Warriors, who are second in the League.
