A SUBSTANTIAL amount of drugs were stolen from a Red Ford Fiesta at the church car park on Bold Street on Friday afternoon.

Police are anxious to trace the drugs which they fear could prove dangerous in the wrong hands.

Temazepam, Co-proxamol, Isosorbide Mononitrate, Diltiazem Hydro Chloride and Diazepam tablets had been left in the car after the driver picked up a prescription for her 91-year-old mother.

They were reported missing to police at 2pm. PC Nicki Francis would like to hear from anyone who can help trace the drugs. The number to call is 01244 613654.
