CREATIVE children were challenged to imagine what the year 3000 would be like and they came up with all sorts of weird and wonderful ideas.

The youngsters were taking part in a summer school run by the Glenda Hill Theatre School at The Total Fitness Centre in Greenway Road, Runcorn.

They also turned the clock back to try and understand what life would have been like 1,000 years ago.

Led by a range of specialist tutors, the children learned new dances, songs and drama pieces to perform in a show.

School proprietor Glenda Hill said: "All the students worked very hard and had some fantastic ideas.

"They performed a show based on the millennium, not just 2000, but they studied 1000 and had ideas on how 3000 may look.

"Parents were very impressed with the show and couldn't believe so much could be done in just a week."

The Glenda Hill Theatre School runs classes at The Total Fitness Centre, Greenway Road, Runcorn and Ditton community centre, Dundalk Road, Widnes.
