HOODED raiders brandishing a yellow ice pick terrorised staff at a Runcorn garage this week.
They burst into the Peva garage in Halton Brow and threatened two cashiers with violence.
They held a 36-year-old woman and 66-year-old man hostage whilst they raided the till.
The pair, wearing black hooded jackets, then fled on foot towards Rolands Walk in Castlefields.
The cashiers were not hurt but were left badly shaken.
Detectives are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen the robbers enter or leave the garage at around 8.15pm on Thursday, August 17. The raiders had scarfs or towels across their face.
The first man was 5ft 10ins and his accomplice was 5ft 4ins. They both spoke with local accents.
