TWO motor mad Winsford men took their treasured vehicles to Capesthorne Motor Show this weekend, to share their passion with everyone.

Ian Blacklock, of Collingtree Avenue, displayed his 1969 Riley Elf, a variation of the traditional mini, in the 1960s private vehicle category.

He said: "It was a good weekend, althought the weather was disappointing, but there was still a good turnout."

John Fahy, of Webb Lane, is equally proud of his 1940 Bedford OY military truck, which he picked up at an auction for £4,500 and has spent £2,000 restoring.

The truck won second prize in the private military vehicle category, but John said he was there for the show rather than the competition.

He said: "It's just a show, it a good weekend out and it's a chance to see different vehicles and get some ideas on how to improve your own."

John also displayed his 1950 Bedford RL Green Goddess at the event, near macclesfield.
