The Heritage Centre and the Brook Street library have both expressed interest in exhibiting her work.

"I think it is a wonderful idea to have an exhibition of her work," said Pat Heath, manager of the Heritage Centre.

"It would be a lovely tribute to her."

Pat, who died at her home in Sandiway earlier this month, had been inspired by LS Lowry.

She went on to sketch everything from life in the back streets to comical characters.

In the 1960's her work took pride place at No 10 after the then Prime Minister Harold Wilson bought some of her prints.

On Monday Mrs Heath appealed for Pat's work to exhibit at the centre in December.

"The more prints the public are willing to donate the better because we have room for a large tribute to her," she said.

Mrs Cooke, who was 65, was cremated at Altrincham last week.

Among mourners was Wilson Hamman, of Lowe Drive, Knutsford.

"It would be super to have a tribute to her because she was such a lovely person who made an impression on everyone she met," he said.
