AFTER enduring their worst start to a North West Counties League season Tetley Walker broke their duck at the fourth attempt on Monday.
Tetley were reduced to 10 men in the 55th minute when Lee Webster was dismissed for his second yellow card.
Tetley took a deserved lead when Steve Ellaby held off a defender to score his first goal for the club.
Five minutes later Tetley wrapped up the three points when Lee Trantum scored from the penalty spot.
Tetley were reduced to nine men after Tony Healey was dismissed following an altercation in which players threw punches.
Two days earlier Tetley lost at home to Nelson 3-2.
Tetely were 2-0 down within 25 minutes. Karl Jones pulled one back with a header.
Five minutes into the second half Tetley were back on level terms when Andy Flood headed home a Bryan Griffiths cross.
Irvine completed his hat-trick for Nelson in the 52nd minute.
On Saturday Tetley play Ashton Town at Long Lane, kick-off 3pm.
On Tuesday Tetley Walker visit Darwen, 7.45pm kick-off, but this game is dependant on Darwen not being involved in a midweek FA Cup replay.
