WITTON Albion are having their FA Cup campaign disrupted before it has begun, with a string of injury problems going into this Saturdays preliminary round.
Manager Nigel Gleghorn has a hamstring pull, Steve Haw, who would have been suspended anyway, is carrying a thigh strain, while Lee Cox will see a specialist about his knee.
Gleghorn hobbled out of Saturdays 2-0 win at Harrogate Town after 28 minutes and could face three or four weeks managing his side off the pitch instead of on.
He will, however, welcome back striker Paul Hennin, whose holiday plans forced him to miss the Bank Holiday programme.
This ended with a 0-0 draw at Winsford United on Monday, which puts Albion third, still to concede a goal in UniBond Division One.
Witton were under strength going into the derby and gave Martin Faulkner and Andy Hough their first starts of the season. The duo look set to continue this weekend.
Oldham Town are the visitors to Bargain Booze Stadium for the FA Cup (sponsored by AXA) Preliminary Round, kick-off 3pm.
On Tuesday, Albion are due to host Kendal Town in UniBond One (7.45pm) although cup replays for either side could mean the postponement of this fixture.
