Wistaston234 for 5

RADBROKE Hall had a bad day at the office on Saturday.

They came off worst in a drawn game at Wistaston.

The home side took advantage of a poor fielding and bowling display by Radbroke as they amassed 234 off their full allocation of 48 overs.

Neil Almond, with 3 for 41, was the only bowler to come out of the afternoon reasonably unscathed as Radbroke pondered on a sequence of dropped catches and misfields.

In reply, Radbroke got off to the worst possible start.

Both openers were dismissed before double figures had been reached.

But a fine century stand by Walter Reynolds (38) and Anu Sinha (87), put Radbroke back in contention despite the run-rate required.

The dismissal of Sinha effectively ended Radbrokes hopes of a miraculous victory and in the end all the Stocks Lane men could get out of the game was the maximum batting points for passing the 175 mark.

The result, however, is a serious blow to Radbrokes title ambitions.

They have now conceded top spot to Kingsley who also have a game in hand.

Next week Radbroke entertain Langley in their last home match of the season, knowing that anything other than victory is unacceptable.
