WITH reference to the front page article in the Midweek GUARDIAN regarding the incident in which Farrah Muckley was attacked by a rottweiler.
The dog's owners cannot be accused of irresponsibility, since the dog was enclosed within a six foot pen in the garden, so it begs the question as to why the little girl climbed into the pen in the first place?
I can appreciate the parents' distress over the little girl, but I cannot accept that the dog should be destroyed when in fact the little girl had trespassed into its space in the first place.
