Wigan Warriors 62
Warrington Wolves 4
WITH a mounting injury toll and first team call-ups the Wolves Alliance side faced a Wigan team all set to confirm their position at the head of the Alliance League.
For the first 10 minutes Wolves' aggressive defence held out, but in the next 10 Warriors ran in four tries through Jones, Rober, Wild and Ball, with Jones converting two, to lead 20-0. By the bread it was 34-0.
Wolves came out in a more determined mood for the second half and on 55mins Neil Parsley collected a pin-point kick for an unconverted try in the corner, but it was only brief respite for the Wolves.
Team: Wallington; Parsley, Reddicliffe, Cowell, Grady; Barber, Kirkbride; Parry, Barraclough, Stevens, Bellamy, Kay, Haughton. Subs: Gornik, Nunnerley, Stainton, Chambers.
