ANYONE interested in walking is invited to join in a sponsored walk organised by Davenham Rambling Society.

All proceeds from the ramble, which takes place on Sunday September 17 will go towards The Samaritans and Castleleigh Day Centre.

The 26 mile walk is on the Salter's Way from Saltersford Hall to Davenham Royal British Legion's headquarters and is divided up into four stages for anyone who does not want to attempt the full distance.

A warm welcome will be extended to anyone wishing to accompany the Davenham Ramblers on this walk.

Stage one starts at 7am from Saltersford Hall to Redesmere, a distance of 10 miles. Stage two starts at 1pm from Redesmere to Jodrell Bank, a distance of five miles. Stage three starts at pm from Dogrel Bank to Dukes Nurseries, a distance of four miles and stage four starts from Lukes Nurseries at 4.30pm arriving at Davenham Royal British Legion Headquarters at 7pm, a distance of seven miles.

The walk will be led by Bernard Chrimes and walkers will be transported to the starting point and all other intermediate stages by minibus.

Walkers finishing at intermediate stages will also be bought back to headquarters by minibus.
