Selby Town 2 Winsford United 0

WINSFORD United's embarrassing cup record continued as North East Counties outfit Selby knocked them out of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Another own goal from the Blues, their third of the season, by Steven Shiel set the Yorkshirmen on their way after 33 minutes.

It wasn't as if the Blues didn't already have a mountain to climb after Troy Hayder's sending off reduced them to 10 men in the 17th minute.

Despite a lively attacking burst at the start of the second half, Selby's strength in numbers paid off in the 78th minute when Mark Turner headed in a deep cross at the back post.
