GARY Lunt was the two-goal hero for Northwich Vics Reserves as they beat Burscough 3-0 at the Drill Field on Saturday.
Strike partner Asa Beard also caused the visitors problems, and he set the victory up by scoring the opening goal.
Steve Walsh made a break from his own half after 30 minutes, rode a number of challenges and laid the ball through to Beard who applied the finish.
Beard was looking lively and quick up front and both he and Lunt had chances to increase the lead before the break.
Lunt headed home Chris Royle's deep cross to make it 2-0 three minutes into the second half, before Rob Taylor and Beard combined to give him his second five minutes from time.
