I COULDN'T help but pen to paper when I read the letter from Maurice Du Prez from Higher Walton in the GUARDIAN, August 24.
How long is it since he actually set foot into Queens Gardens? The toilet he commented on has been closed for at least five years that I know of.
Mr Du Prez stated that the gardens were only used by drop-outs and the brown mac brigade, well hello from one of the brown-mac brigade. I along with many others use the gardens regularly at lunch time as a brief respite from being behind a computer screen in an office.
Mr Du Prez is one of the fortunate people who happen to live in a pretty village, whereas many of us mere mortals have to spend many hours in the town centre.
If he actually bothered to spend more time in Queens Gardens he would see how beneficial it is.
