WARRINGTON bus users had the chance to comment on the bus services when the National Federation of Bus Users held a surgery in the town.
More than 350 bus users visited the stand in the Golden Square shopping centre on Friday November 19, and talked face to face with senior representatives from Warrington Borough Transport, Warrington Borough Council and Arriva.
Feedback from Warrington's bus users covered a wide range of issues including bus shelters, vehicle design and bus time-tables. There were strong calls for more bus lanes to improve the reliability of services.
Users also praised the improved quality of the town's buses and the good standards of customer care given by drivers.
Nigel Featham, managing director of Warrington Borough Transport, who was at the event, said; "We were delighted to take part in what proved to be an excellent opportunity to listen to our customers' queries and concerns and we are now in the course of following up many of the points raised."
Bus users who left their name and address will be invited to a follow up meeting to be held in a few weeks which will review progress.
