FIRST it was Arley Hall... and now Tatton Park has become the latest location for TV crews desperate to film a wedding ceremony in the grounds of a stately home.
Viewers who tuned into ITV's hit show Cold Feet on Sunday night will have seen James Nesbitt's character Adam asking long term girlfriend Rachel to marry him, despite the devastating news that she can't have children.
But the Guardian can reveal that when Rachel, played by Helen Baxendale, says yes to the big question next week, they head off to Tatton Park in search of the perfect location for their big day.
The couple finally opt for a more low key approach and decide to get married in a Manchester register office, before holding their reception at home.
But fans of the weekly show, which is now in its third series, will still see Adam and Rachel wandering around the grounds of Tatton, after the crew spent a day filming at the stately home in August.
Oliver Knapp, spokesman for Tatton Park, said: "The film crew came over a few months ago to do some filming for their series using both the outside and inside of the house.
"We get a few people coming to look around Tatton Park to see whether it would be a suitable location for filming and we are always glad to have them here."
