IN the Northwich & District Pool League Team Knock-out qualifying round 2nd leg, an 8-ball break by P Walsh helped Blue Barrel to a 4-3 win, but it wasn't enough to stop Barnton Legion going through on an 8-6 aggregate.
Division One leaders Winnington Park were knocked out by Coachman B and in the battle of the Barn Owls the A side went through on a 10-4 aggregate.
Rudheath continued their unbeaten run with a 6-1 win (10-4 aggregate) at Farmers Arms, while Thatched Tavern beat Gladstone A by the same aggregate score, and the bottom team in Division One, Owley Wood, threw away their first leg advantage in eventually going out to Green Dragon B form Division Two.
Vics progressed after a 6-1 drubbing of Wheatsheaf and second division White Barn advanced at the expense of Coachman A, but the biggest aggregate win of the round was Phoenix, 12-2 over Beech Tree. Also through are Green Dragon A and Old Crown.
The draws for the preliminary rounds of the Team Knock-out and Supplementary Cup will take place at the monthly captains meeting on Sunday, December 3, 7pm at Barnton Legion.
