KIND-HEARTED kitchen staff at Cuddington Primary School are joining forces with pupils to help raise money for a youngster called 'Lizzy'.
Four-year-old Elizabeth Bailey was struck down with epilepsy and, after lengthy tests, she was diagnosed with a brain malformation.
She has suffered many seizures and, although these have been controlled with medication, she still struggles to walk or stand.
Alison Buckley, who works in the school kitchen, said: "I was so touched when I heard Lizzy's story from my sister who works at St Luke's Hospice that I was determined to help.
"The school children have met Lizzy and we are now hoping to help pay for her treatment and travel expenses through Bizzy Lizzy's Trust Fund."
The kitchen staff and children, at the school, on Ash Road, are dreaming up fund-raising ideas and would also welcome any outside donations in their drive to raise cash.
Lizzy is currently trying to raise funds for a walker to help get on her feet.
Anyone interested in helping can ring Cuddington Primary School on 01606 883045.
