Northwich U12s...1
EGERTON made further progress in the cup on Sunday and in the process notched up their eighth consecutive victory.
With the ball frequently getting stuck in the numerous puddles it was always going to be the team that battled hardest that would prevail.
This Egerton did, with their superior skill and team work showing through as they battled for every ball.
In the first-half Egerton showed real fighting qualities.
Craig Light scored with a fine header from a Henri Moore corner.
Then Nathan Blundell's long range effort went in at the far post, just reward for an excellent performance from the Egerton mid-field player.
A further goal from Moore gave the away team a comfortable half-time lead.
Northwich showed some spirit in the second-half and were rewarded with a goal before Scott Beattie put the game safe for Egerton with two fine efforts.
Egerton were able to bring on new signings Tom Stubbs and Dan Roberts and both showed they have the ability to do well and challenge established players for a regular place, assuming pitch conditions allow any more games in the near future.
