WARRINGTON got back to winning ways with a comprehensive performance which included 10 tries and six conversions against a large Hull outfit.

Strong play and sound defence saw Warrington build up a 28-6 lead at half-time.

The standard of play in atrocious conditions was a credit to both teams.

A sea-change in attitude, battling wet and windy conditions, scuppered an 18-point Hull first half advantage.

Three tries from Warrington's pocket battleship Danny Rourke turned defeat into victory, ably supported by tries from Ryan Cosgrove, James Sherratt, Craig White and the strong-running Paul Reynolds.

Craig White kicked the only goal in a second half that saw a much more determined Warrington side cruise to victory.

EXCELLENT display of rugby by Rylands who were full of team spirit.

They moved the ball around and did not let Pats get in the game. Tries for Rylands by Cooper, three, Campbell, two. St. Pats scored two good tries and tackled well.

Rylands stepped up the pace with tries by Lee, Whiteley and Hardman, two, to finish the game off.

Player of the match was Thomas Hardman.

IN an exciting end to end game both teams played some good rugby but Latchford's strong defence proved to be the difference.

Outstanding in defence were Thompson, James, M. Ball, Byron and Feather, who were well supported in attack by Povey, Howard, Pendlebury, D. Ball, Ellis and Wilson.

Tries were scored by James, two, Thompson, two and Ellis, one.

WOOLSTON punished Waterhead with every opportunity.

Solid defence by Goddard, Files, Mather, Whittaker and Milbourne and excellent strong running in attack by Boyle, Dean, Hill and Cann.

Man of the match was Chris Goddard, top tackler was Adam Files and the coach's award went to Thomas Hill.

THIS should have been Latchford's first victory. However, it was still an excellent performance.

Latchford's tries came from top tackler Tom Wilson, four from powerful John Hewitt and two from new boy Tom McIntosh.

Another great game from Southworth, good running from Cox, Antell and Budgen. Great defence from Evans and Atherton.

LATCHFORD were made to work hard by a determined and pacy New Springs.

Thomas Rugby capped an impressive debut with a well taken score while other tries came from Jack Cooper, two, Ross Pendlebury, two, Ben Reynolds and Joe Mellor, two.

Jack Conlon took the honours as top tackler while Britton, Harman, Bryant and Sam Jones also defended strongly.

THIS delayed first round Lancashire Cup game due to waterlogged pitches had previously been postponed twice and was played at Warrington Rugby Union Club as Leyland's and Crosfields' pitches were still unplayable.

The game was one sided with Crosfields scoring one minute after kick-off. Soap were relentless in attack.

Try scorers were Mike Graham, four, Chris Malone, two, Darren Parker, two, Stuart Pickett, two, Neil Savage, Craig Noone, Chris Mellor, Chris Oultram and Chris Hughes. Mellor kicked 12 goals.
