IF YOU leave your tongue firmly in cheek whilst in the cinema Charlie Angels makes for wonderful viewing.

Charlie's Angels is the latest in a long line of 1970s re-makes and will be hoping to eclipse the success enjoyed by other re-makes such as The Saint, Mission Impossible and The Avengers.

And even though the film stars three B-list Hollywood vixens they produce a throughily entertaining and action packed 90 minutes which should prove a nice little earner.

Cameron Diaz, (Natilie), Drew Barrymore, (Dylan), and Lucy Liu, (Alex), make up the Angels but the star of the show has to be Bill Murray with his portrayal of Bosley stealing many of the laughs.

Also an intriguing performance from baddie henchman 'Thin-man', (Crispin Glover), makes the fight scenes all the more dazzling.

With a list of stunt actors to rival the cast list the film does not let up with the action and with impressive, if we ignore the laws of physics, martial arts scenes the film does its best to blow the audience off their feet.

The plot has been modernised, as with most re-makes, and sees the elusive Charlie and his Angels put in danger of extinction and the future of world privacy put in threat.

The film is enhanced by roles for Matt Le Blanc, Ton Green and LL Cool J, and a quite literally 'kicking' soundtrack.

Star of TV's immensely popular series Ally McBeal, Lucy Liu makes here first headlining appearance in a mainstream film and should now go on to bigger and better things.

The way has definitely been paved for a sequel as distributers Columbia Tristar will hope to emulate the success of Mission Impossible one and two.

This film will be enjoyed by, dare I say it, all with the comedy combining well with the action, go and see it, it would be a sin not to.
