Wincham U12...0
EGERTON reached the quarterfinals of the league cup after a rather lacklustre performance.
Two early goals, the first a fine header from Craig Light and the second a stunning strike from Scott Beattie, looked to be the start of a goal avalanche.
But that did not happen as chances were missed and final passes were put too near to the Wincham goalkeeper.
There was a bit more urgency in the second-half and new boy Dan Roberts scored from the edge of the area.
Man of the match Charlie Holland was a constant threat down the left, but the final goal came from the other side when Henri Moore kept up his goal tally with yet another goal.
Egerton's defence can be proud of another solid performance and a clean sheet, while Wincham must be proud of a battling display that meant the score remained respectable.
