NANTWICH TOWN 3 CURZON ASHTON 1
THE Dabbers recorded their fourth league win of the season beating Curzon Ashton 3-1.
The result moves the club away from the relegation zone and was a much needed boost for the team who won after two quality second half strikes.
After being pegged back in the opening stages it was Nantwich who struck first when Danny Griggs was toppled in the area giving Gareth Chadwick the chance to slot home from the penalty spot.
Nantwich held out until the 43rd minute when a low strike beat keeper Stuart Heeps..
The second half saw a young Nantwich side attack further and a breakaway led to a smart 30 yard run and chip for the second goal, John Dawson the man on the end of the boot.
A similar strike by Dale Melling in the last five minutes rounded off a good display for Nantwich who are in cup action next week when they visit Bedlington Terriers in the second round of the FA Vase.
