Ernie Brown, who lived in Small Lane, Mobberley, was killed instantly on December 15 when a First North Western train from Chester struck him at Mercer's Crossing. His funeral service took place at Altrincham Crematorium, where he was remembered fondly as a dear brother and uncle.
"The family are just quiet people, and are trying to get through this the best they can," said a family friend.
