THE sterling achievements of young people in Warrington are set to be given a royal seal of approval.
Princess Anne will pay a special visit to the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Young People's Centre next month to recognise the efforts of youth workers and young people in Warrington.
Sgt Dave Betts, who was recently awarded the Queen's Police Medal in the New Year's honours list, organised the event and invited the princess to the town.
Sgt Betts said: "It's not often that you can get someone of that level of the royal family to come to see what we are doing here in Warrington.
"We have some cracking young people in Warrington, there is so much potential here.
"It won't just be a hand shaking event. The princess will be watching young people performing and presenting information about the work they do.
"This is going to be a superb day for youth action and young people which will give them a chance to celebrate what they do."
