THE missing painting in a famous artist's collection might have been found - and it was bought on Orford Lane in 1968.
Joyce Lockett, who used to live in Orford but has moved to Widnes, saw artist Leo Janssen on television appealing for the return of his 'Number one Nude'.
Mr Janssen, who is reputed to be a millionaire, has found the other five paintings in his nude collection and is desperate to find the missing one.
Joyce was flabbergasted when she realised that the painting, which she bought for £6 at the end of the 1960s, was hanging on her living room wall.
Joyce said: "I said to my friend Bill I know where that painting is and he said 'where?' and I said hanging on the wall behind you"
"It was the first one Janssen painted in the 1960s and I saw it and liked in it a shop down Orford Lane.
"I would be interested to know how much it is worth now but I don't know whether I would sell it as I've had it so long it's part of the furniture."
