I HAVE just returned home from an amazing display of human kindness and have been a spectator at a 70s show that was spectacular.

The special people in the show have been working on this performance since June and what a performance it was. Along with others in the audience I was moved to tears more than once, especially when my sister, Dawn, sang Away in a Manger so beautifully in front of everyone and again when a song was in memory of her best friend, Julie Palmer, who, with Dawn, had practised the song before she died recently.

Where was this wonderful show? It was at Gorse Covert Day Centre for disabled adults. Why was it not advertised?

The staff there truly deserve a medal for all the hard work they have put into the show and for how much of themselves they give to the service users. These are not people who go to work and just do a job, these are people who really enjoy what they do and do it so well.

I came away from there today with a wonderful feeling and glad that my sister is a part of this special place.

I would also like to say a special thank you to Katie who has made such a difference to my sister's life.
