MY BROTHER, sisters and I are searching out our cousins in the UK. Most of them come from around Belfast. But there is one cousin, we believe, who lives in the Warrington area.

Her name we think is now Hamblett. She was Marion Rose Shanks. Her father, our uncle, was able seaman Joseph Shanks. He was killed on active service during the Second World War.

Marion Rose Shanks married Roy Arthur Hamblett on June 30, 1962, at St Oswald's Church, Winwick, Warrington.

Our mother was Sarah Shanks and she came to Australia in 1927. She married Gordon Fry and became the proud mother of five little Aussies. Our aunt Martha also came to Australia.

We would dearly love to get in contact with uncle Joe's daughter. I am hoping to travel to the UK in May/June 2001.

We hope someone will be able to tell us something about their whereabouts.
