YOUNG actors have won praise for their production of an award-winning play.
Year 12 A level drama and theatre arts students from Congleton High School staged Our Country's Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker at the school's new drama studio.
The play explores the plight of the first group of convicts to be transported to Australia in 1788.
"It's a complex play that demands a lot of its cast. The students handled it admirably. I am very proud of them," said Gill Davis the school's drama co-ordinator who produced the play with Simon Whittaker.
Taking part were David Guymer, Diana Christie, Becy Ward, Becky Norcup, Kerry Ogden, Ben Wain, Rick Parker, Nichola Obrey, Lisa Smith and Rosie Wilkinson.
