THE search is on for a Warrington woman who has been missing from home since New Year's Day.
41-year-old Carol Kershaw was last seen by her partner at their home in Padgate last Monday.
She had celebrated the New Year with friends then returned home with her partner.
He saw Carol when he left for work at 11am, but she hasn't been seen since.
Carol is 5ft 8ins tall, slim with straight, shoulder-length blonde hair and when she went missing she was wearing a black, heavy velvet coat and a grey, woollen cowl neck style jumper.
She is known to suffer from dizzy spells and police are increasingly concerned for her welfare.
Det Insp Mark Tunstall of Warrington police is leading the inquiry. He said: "She may be with friends in the area, there are numerous possibilities. Some of her friends we know about and have been in touch with, others we are in the process of contacting.
"Time is going on now and we haven't heard anything. Her family and friends are very concerned and would like to know she is safe and well.
"We would ask her to get in touch with either her family or the police so we can put their minds at rest."
Anyone who has seen Carol or who has information on her whereabouts can contact police on 652222.
