APPROVAL has been granted for a new access road to be built into Stapeley Water Gardens outside Nantwich.
The road is to link the gardens and car parks with the Cronkinson Farm distributor road which has been partially completed.
Councillors spoke out in the planning meeting expressing concern that a situation like the West Street, Morrisons, congestion could develop if the road is not completed in time.
The junction between the roads will be controlled by traffic lights and will form a crossroads.
Approval was given dependant on the results of a Newt mitigation scheme.
