WILLOW Wood Junior School has welcomed a new headteacher for the new year.
Anne Smith has taken over the post after an educational background as a deputy headteacher and Key Stage Two co-ordinator at primary schools in Salford.
Mrs Smith is impressed by what the school has to offer and is looking forward to her new challenge.
She said: "I am looking to continue the education opportunities and educational provision at Willow Wood, offering the pupils a broad curriculum.
"I am delighted with the school, it is very attractive, very welcoming and the staff are very hard working and have a great deal of concern for the welfare of the pupils."
She added: "I look forward to working in partnership with the parents of the children."
