SOMETHING for everyone! That's the lively mix of drama, music and dance featured in the Lyceum Theatre's Spring programme.

First to follow the panto Aladdin will be Manchester Camerata with the second of their 2000/2001 concert series in the borough.

They will be playing the music of Albinoni, Handel, Bach and Vivaldi this coming Sunday, January 21.

The orchestra returns on March 9 when Bach's music will again be featured, along with the work of Haydn and Bartock.

English Touring Theatre premieres a national tour of Shakespeare's comic jewel 'Loves Labour's Lost' from Monday, February 5 to Saturday 10.

A modern interpretation that promises to be funny, sharp and prickly, it will be the largest production staged by the company to date, with fifteen actors, including Gerald Kyd, most recently seen on TV as Sean Maddox in BBC 1's 'Casualty'

Fans of contemporary dance are in for a treat on Tuesday, February 13 when internationally renowned performer Robert Hylton and his company present Expansions - Life in Urban Classicism, a contemporary performance including elements of hip-hop, jazz and mainstream contemporary dance.

By popular demand the rock 'n' roll musical, 'That'll Be the Day' returns on Friday 11-18. Early booking is advised.

Middleground Theatre Company presents William Rose's wry examination of colour and prejudice, 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, from Tuesday, February 20 -24. It stars Patrick Robinson from TV's 'Casualty' and George Sewell from 'The Detectives'.

Musical treats include The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Jo Brown and the Bruvvers, The Barron Knights, Supertroupers (Abba and Bee Gees tribute), The Blues Brothers and Chas 'n' Dave.

A highlight for murder/mystery play enthusiasts will be Agatha Christie's 'A Murder is Announced' being staged for a week in March.

Stars include former Eastenders Leila Birch (Terese DeMarco) and Andrew Lynford (Simon); Ruth Madoc ('Hi-Di-Hi') and Juliette Kaplan (Pearl in 'Last of the Summer Wine')
