Lostock Gralam 6 Cheadle Heath Nomads 0
Mid Cheshire Two

LOSTOCK continued their good start to 2001 with a victory high in both the quantity and quality of its goals against Cheadle Heath.
The first came from a long kick by goalkeeper Wyatt which was controlled and flicked through by Henrietta to Paul Lightfoot, who drilled in from just inside the penalty area.
Lightfoot turned provider for the second, squaring for Mike Harrison to hit high into the net before he smashed a superb low drive into the net from 25 yards to make it 3-0.
Mike Alcock, brought out of retirement, produced one of his trademark long range strikes just before the break, seeing the goalkeeper off his line to score from fully 45 yards.
Lostock maintained the pressure in the second half and Martin Noden added the fifth in the 50th minute with a header from a corner.
Cheadle struck the post in a rare attack, but Lostock's response was to score another goal. Harrison collected the ball just inside Cheadle's half and delivered a cutting pass between two defenders for Lightfoot to score.
Even when awarded a penalty, the visitors couldn't put a stop to their misery as substitute Moore was fouled by Peers in the box. He took the penalty, but hit it wide.
Lostock: Wyatt, Aleks, Peers, Bellamy, Gibbon (Kay), Henrietta, Littler, Lightfoot, Harrison,. Noden, Alcock.
