POLICE are growing concerned about the number of nuisance attacks in part of Weaverham.
Since November the shops and housing areas behind Northwich Road and close to Forest Street Primary School have been targeted.
The latest incident at the school happened overnight between January 7 and 8 when two trees were pulled up, wooden fencing was damaged and graffiti scrawled over classroom windows, causing £180 damage.
Now the Northwich Crime and Disorder Unit is in touch with the school to plan a strategy to stop the problem.
John Roberts, from the Crime and Disorder Unit, admitted there had been an increase in nuisance attacks.
"What seems to have happened is that since the end of November and through December we have had more calls from a certain area in Weaverham.
"We shall be keeping an eye on the situation," he added.
