A SANKEY vets became famous for a week after featuring on the BBC's popular TV show Vets in Practice.
Four Paws veterinary surgery, on Lingley Road, had a sudden increase in visitors during the week of filming, which staff say had a lot to do with the presence of heart-throb vet Steve Leonard.
"We got a lot more people through the doors, it was a good week," said nurse Vicki Partington.
"There was certainly an increase in women that week.
"We all had our five minutes of fame."
Vets Steve Hancock and Joanne Sparkmans, nurses Pauline Wellbelove, Vicki Partington, Nicola Jones and Alex Chapman and receptionist Tracey Howard were joined by the TV show's star and crew. The filming was done last April but the programme was not broadcast until last Thursday.
