NOW for the time being the likes of Clr Mike Hughes and North Warrington MP Helen Jones seem to have at least held up construction of the new Wolves Stadium and a Tesco Superstore. Both these people, along with Barbara Mawer Lib-Dem leader on this council will have a lot to answer for if at the end of the day we supporters of the Warrington Club don't have a new stadium and are out of Super League due to them and others associated with the Labour Party. It can be said with honesty that Clr B. Mawer voted against this project because she wished to see part of the site used for housing. The area she lives in at Thelwall and represents just happens to be the next area designated for housing. Living in Mike Hughes' area of Fairfield, which he represents, I find him a waste of space and time as a councillor.
Hopefully when both Helen Jones and Mike Hughes come up for election people will remember what both have done.
