ALSAGER striker Wayne Brotherton hit a hat-trick on Saturday to earn his side a third round cup tie.
His trio came as Alsager beat Baddeley Green Rangers 3-2 at home in round two of the Staffs FA Vase.
Brotherton was on target in the 10th minute, but saw his curling shot tipped over the bar by Baddeley keeper Todd.
Stevenson shot just wide for Baddeley six minutes later, and Todd pulled off a tremendous save on 18 minutes from a 20-yard shot by Mark Timms.
Alsager took the lead on 23 minutes when Brotherton, Alsager's leading scorer this season with 11 league and cup goals, headed home a cross from Timms.
He almost scored again a minute later when he flicked the ball past Todd, only to see it kicked off the line.
Baddeley equalised on the half hour through an own goal by Chris Dick, but Alsager regained the lead two minutes later when another corner from Timms was headed in by Brotherton.
Baddeley made it 2-2 16 minutes into the second half through an unmarked Dutton, who scored from 10 yards with a low drive under keeper Rob Powner.
Alsager hit back with a 63rd minute winner, Steve Faint hitting a fierce drive the keeper could only parry.
The ball fell to Brotherton, who smashed it home from 10 yards.
Brotherton was replaced with 20 minutes to go by youth team striker Leon Morris, who did very well in his first taste of senior football.
Ian Camm denied Baddeley a replay by clearing off the line late on.
Alsager have signed former Nantwich Town striker John Scarlet.
Alsager are at home to Bacup in the league tomorrow, kick off 2pm.
