Greenwatch
THE formation of a Greenwatch and community group for the Woolstanwood area of Crewe has been proposed.
After a meeting in December where the idea was well supported a follow-up meeting has now been arranged.
The aim of the group will be the creation of greenspace in the community and a chairman and secretary have been appointed as well as a funding committee.
The group still needs a treasurer and leader to further its aims.
The next meeting is at the Marshfield Community Centre, West Street in Crewe on Monday, January 22, beginning at 8pm.
Spokeswoman for the group, Gwyneth Stubbs said: "We aim to make our area a better place to live and save the planet too.
"Collectively, we can make a difference, if you can feel empathy towards these aims then please do join us and make this a green new year," she added.
