But soon it will form part of an impressive display of old programmes and photographs by Jeff Tenner
"Once you start something like this it just seems to take over," said Jeff, of Garden Road, Knutsford.
The first play All-of-a-sudden Peggy was performed at the YMCA Hall - now the Angel Hotel - in December 1925.
The programme with details of the three-act play cost two pence.
Other programmes of past shows reveal how sometimes theatre-lovers were treated to three one-act plays in one night.
"I don't know how they did it," said Jeff. "It's hard work producing one play let alone three. I don't know if we could manage it today."
The theatre - originally called the Knutsford Amateur Dramatic Society - had an orchestra which played during the intervals.
Jeff, a set designer at the theatre for 20 years, is currently looking for any programmes pre-1940.
"The 1930's are just a blank space at the moment," he said. "I'm having great difficulty finding anything from before the war but then I've got duplicates of later programmes."
If you have any programmes or photographs that could help Jeff to piece together the theatre's history call him on 01565 651579.
