NANTWICH Town Council is objecting to a take away service being set up by Nantwich Station.
An application has been submitted to the borough council to relax conditions which would allow the Bengal Station restaurant to run a hot food take away.
The plans have been submitted by Mr S Armed of Crewe for the site, which is just next to Nantwich Railway Station.
However, councillors voiced concern that unacceptable traffic problems would be caused by customers stopping off to pick up food.
Cllr Arthur Moran said: "We opposed the original planning application and we predicted that this would happen."
Cllr Graham Fenton added: "Traffic trying to turn right could block up the traffic back on to the railway crossing."
Cllr Jean Pearson said: "It is pretty treacherous along that front and I feel this person is taking advantage."
