UP TO 200 jobs could be created at City Truck Group which is moving into purpose built premises at Appleton Thorn Industrial Estate, Warrington in April.

City Truck is a leading logistics company which already has 34 branches in the UK, and a £90 million turnover.

The new jobs will include warehouse staff, drivers, administration and management at the seven and a half acre site.

Recruitment will begin at the end of February.

Marketing manager David Eglington told the GUARDIAN that several of the company's sites in this part of the country will become satellite sites of the Warrington branch.

Services provided will include storage, distribution, on-site maintenance, logistics support services and transport.

The facility will operate 24 hours a day and specialise in working with the chemical, packaging, food and drink companies.
