EXPLOITING commercial opportunities and in-house talent could be the key to the future success of research establishments like Daresbury Laboratory, according to BT boss Stewart Davis.
He was speaking at the launch of the North West Business Leadership Team's new offices at the laboratory.
Mr Davies is managing director of BtexacT, the research arm of BT.
"Although there are some obvious differences between private and state-owned research establishments, our shared learning has clear potential for helping Daresbury to continue to provide research excellence in the north west", he said.
The team, which brings together key business leaders to help to deliver sustainable economic development throughout the region, has relocated to Daresbury Laboratory.
The launch was attended by MPs and members of the Warrington based North West Development Agency.
