PUPILS from Squirrel Hayes First School in Biddulph have planted a tree in the school grounds.
The planting was organised by Biddulph in Bloom and Biddulph Probus Club as part of a series across the town.
Trees have been planted at every local school over the last few weeks, with the species including cherry, weeping birch and alder.
"The Probus club have paid for the trees, and we organised the planting," said Biddulph in Bloom chairman Hilda Sheldon, pictured with Probus president David Stubbs.
"I gave a talk at each school about the value of landscape, and how we need to protect the newly-planted trees, which are important to our well-being and wildlife."
The Squirrel Hayes pupils involved in the planting were Liam Booth, Lauren Carr, Kyle McLellan, Hannah Stubbs and Leonie Roberts.
